The CV Store on BuyMyFace

Hi, we’re Ross and Ed, and we’re honoured to have a guest blog entry on thecvstore.net.

We’ve just finished university, and in this difficult job climate, we thought we’d take a gap year together to sell advertising space on our faces… I know… bizarre! It’s actually going really well though – have a look on www.BuyMyFace.com. Anyway, The CV Store bought our faces for a day, and this is what happened…

We’ve been asked to say a little something about our long-term plans and whether doing BuyMyFace.com will help us find a job. After just 10 days, we’ve already had a couple of job offers, which is brilliant! Of course we want to see BuyMyFace.com through to its conclusion, but at the end of the year, who knows what we’ll be doing! Doors are certainly being opened, so we’ll decide when the year is up.

If you’re looking to get a job in this tough climate, we’d definitely recommend doing something creative to stand out from the crowd. Ed once challenged an interviewer to a race in order to get a final round interview… they didn’t give him the race, but he did get the final round interview. A friend of ours is customising her CV to look like the website for the company that she’s applying to. We’re yet to have someone upload a CV to our faces, but perhaps that will come one day.
