Differences Between a Resume and CV

There is very little difference between a "good CV" and a "good resume". The main objective of both is to present the candidate in the best possible light by promoting their skills, experience and associated accomplishments.

A lot of people believe a resume should be limited to one page. This however, is not true. As with a CV, it is perfectly acceptable to increase the length of your resume as your career matures.

The only noticeable differences between a resume and CV are that, a resume will often omit personal details that are included in CVs and CVs will have more detailed job descriptions / details of achievements.

It is important to note that several types of resumes, such as medical professional's resumes may be comparatively longer in order to cater for details relating to their medical experience, research, publications, and teaching.
