I got to thinking about this after reading another post. When you encounter a question on an application form or in an interview that asks about past experience doing something, or coming up with an innovative idea or whatever, you don't have to rely on your work experience.

It's acceptable to mention that you did something in a volunteer position, or when you were in Guides or Scouts or on a sports team or whatever you can think of that fits the situation. Employers aren't necessarily interested in your work history only--they want to know how well you adapt to new situations, other people, difficulties and so on. So keep your whole life in mind, not just your work life.

That is a good post because I use to get confused on that whenever I got to that area. I though that it would have to pertain to your work history.

It really doesn't. Employers are looking for signs that you can show initiative or work in a group or whatever else they're in need of. And let's face it, most of us get a lot of experience OUTSIDE work.
