I've encountered many interviews when I was applying my current job. I used to be conscious of my physical appearance especially the way I dressed. My hair was properly tied inorder for me to look neat and clean during the interview. How about you?

Appearance is way more important than any of us want it to be, and it's important to make as good an impression as possible. However, it also depends on the job and what is going to be expected of you. My son applied for work on a mink ranch and turned up in jeans and a T-shirt, which are appropriate for the kind of work he had to do, and he got the job.

Appearance to me is the most important thing you could ever do to prepare for an interview. You can never make a second first inpression.

Also, when you look good, you feel good and more confident and you're more likely to come across as confident and that is a BIG help.

It's very important for girls to tie their long hair during interviews. It's disgusting to look at if a strand of your hair will fall down on the table of your empoyer.

Appearance is important. If you care about how you look and present yourself, it is a good sign that you will care about how well you do your job.

On the subject of hair: If yours is long, have it styled. We don't necessarily have objections to hair wisping the face if that is the current style. You need to go through magazines, see what is current. You don't want to look dated. Make sure your clothes are up to date and if your wearing a suit, make sure it is in tune with the times. Your parents suits are out.
