I find that life is much better if I work 2 or 3 part time jobs instead of one full time position. Being at the mercy of one set of employment hassles doesn't sit well with me at all. If I have one or two fall back positions I have more control over how much energy I spend on any one work venue.
Have you considered switching to a "part time portfolio" instead of working for one place on a full time basis?
