My friend never uses white paper but usually a soft cream or peach color. She says that the color is calming and people like to look at a color better than just white paper.

Is this true and should I invest in a cream or light color paper? The paper is nice to look at but is there some kind of rule about just using white papre?

I like to use a nice thick cream paper. It lets the resume stand out, and the heavier paper has a better feel. I don't know if it helps or ot though! I don't think it hurts, as long as you don't pick a color that is really drastic.

I guess bright red wouldn't be the best color to choose then. ;) LOL

Cream could pass, but nothing neon or very dark for sure. I've seen some horrible stuff.

  5. From our experience, coloured paper is something that should be avoided when writing CVs / resumes. Stick to high-quality, white A4 paper.

Beige, or cream colored pages are find, but anything else ruins the credibility of the applicant.
