Just a quicky really...is there a standard size used when writing C.V.s or resumes?

  2. Hi Peter and welcome to our message board!

To be honest, there isn't really any particular 'rule' relating to the page size of a CV. However, usually, the standard A4 or even US Letter size is a good start.

Try not to leave the margins too small as this will make your CV / resume look cramped. On the other hand, don't make the margins too wide, else you'll be left with large areas of wasted space and not much room left for text!

    Hope this helps!

I usually end up just emailing my resume, so I haven't really thought about this in a long time.

I think the paper size doesn't matter. the important thing is the content of your CV. I used to send my resume in A4 size for formality sake.

I don't think there is a rule on paper size but I think A4 is more appealing. Imagine a CV in A3 or A5? Doesn't sound cute!
