There are times when changing jobs just doesn't work out.

You might discover huge discrepancies between the job's description and reality, or that the workplace is simply intolerable.

Assuming you left the previous employer on good terms, would you go back to your former employer to ask for your old job back, or would you take the time to look for a new workplace?

  2. Good post!

We always advise people to remain on good terms with employers when they leave. People often do things like including negative reasons for leaving in their resignation letters or even performing poorly (deliberately) days / weeks leading up to their departure.

Returning to a former employer is very common and something you should always consider as an option in the future (you never know what could happen).
