Paying someone to write one for you

I seen a company online that was offering their services to help people write a great resume for a hefty price. What do you think about paying someone to write out your background? What is it that they are going to do extra special to make it stand out?

  2. We, too are one of those services! However, we like to think that our prices are affordable.

When selecting a company to write a professional CV / resume, give them a call and ask about their experience, etc. Also try to establish whether or not they offer you any money back guarantee or something similar in case you're not happy with the final outcome.

In addition, ask to see an example of their work!

    willyable,

If you are thinking about this, maybe ask to see some sample resumes they've written. That should help you decide.

So far I haven't tried paying someone to write my own CV. I make my own resume. I gather and search information online so that my CV is unique and detailed.

That's why we have professionals to assist us in areas of our weaknesses but all in all, the fee should be reasonable and work should be top quality. Ask for samples and go through them with a few friends and seniors to see if their service is top class.

I found it hard to get past the first interview stage until I paid someone to overhaul my CV properly. The end result is much more professional than the one I made myself from a downloaded template from the net. It also got me the job I've been wanting for years.

I think paying a professional to do what they do best is the way to go

I might ask a professional company to help me write a resume but I would definitely take a look at some samples of their work. I would also ask questions like how involved I would be, can I make changes, how long would it take, and I would want to have a good personal relationship with the person writing it. After all, it is my career. Oh yes, I would also make sure what I would be getting for my money and if there would be any additional costs.

I think having a professionally written CV has really helped with my interviews. I had my own that I wrote before and now I get a lot more calls back.
