When on a job interview and the interviewer asks you ":To Tell Me About Yourself" what do you or do not say. I always tell them about my strengths and a little history about myself. A friend of mine recently went on a interview and she told me that the interviewer asked her this question to. She focused on her personal life. Is there anything else that you should focus on besides your strengths when asked this question

I agree that focusing on one's strengths is a good idea. In my opinion that could mean listing accomplishments from school or former jobs. I think telling a little about one's personal life is okay too but I would limit it to things like how many years married and how many kids.....nothing more personal than that.

Definitely play up you job related strengths, but it might be wise to ask them to be more specific before answering.

Whenever I've been asked that, I generally focus on my strengths, but instead of listing them I try to relate them to the specific job or company that is the subject of the interview. For example, I was once interviewing for a finance job with a global company. Instead of simply listing my experience, and that one of my strengths was in foreign exchange markets; I related it to how that strength could benefit the company's hedging activity in foreign markets.
As for personal details, I generally make sure they come out because I feel it's important that I'm a good fit for the company, and that the company is a good fit for me.

I would talk about the strength of my ability to do the job. I would never, ever say anything about my personal life. They can't ask about it and I wouldn't say anything about it.
