I like to send a thank-you note after interviewing with a company and a phone call about a week after the interview so that they know that I am definitely interested in the job.
How do you follow up on interviews?

I don't send a thank you note. That might not be the best thing to do but I often wondered why I was thanking the company; thanking them for spending anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes with me? For spending carfare to get to their office? For allowing me to chance to compete with about 100 applicants to work for them?
The most I would do was to call them a week or so after the interview to see if the job was filled and then, maybe, I would thank them for seeing me. I really don't do much at all and I have gotten jobs anyway.
My qualifications should get be a job not the fact that I send them a thank you note after an interview.
I send a thank you note if I want the job. Then I call if I haven't heard anything.
