I've had bad experiences with this before. I know some companies may have good reasons for not putting their name on their ads, but I just avoid those ads.
Do you think I'm missing out?

This is a common problem - especially when it comes to applying for jobs via a recruitment company where you're not told the name of the organisation interested in you.
The main problem with this is that you're not able to research the company / industry to be able to know for sure whether or not it's the type of job you'd be interested in.
I'm very much aware that scams are rampant in the world of internet that's why I make sure that I applied to a legal company. I don't trust ads that are not familiar to me. I used to search or ask for company's history before I applied.
Maybe, maybe not. Some companies will want to shut out 'over application' because of the interest the attract when everyone knows it's them. Maybe you could apply but always leave the door wide open.
I've heard of some people using a different type of resume to apply for blind ads. It's one where they don't include their address and just give an overall of experience.
I'm worried about it mostly when it has something to do with the internet and working online but if it is a company that I can eventually run into face to face, I don't worry. Because most likely you will find out what you need to find out when interview, if you interview.
I like to know which company I'm interviewing with so I can do some research about them. It's always a good idea to know a little something about the company.
If I don't see the name of the company on an ad I won't send a resume. It's too suspicious to me. Why wouldn't a company want their prospective employees know who they are?
I just think it's a bad idea.
