I work in a call center and have a lot of co-workers around me. There is one co-worker that loves drama and she loves getting everyone around her involved in the drama. She is loud and abnoxious and other co-workers cannot concentrate of their job because she is causing trouble. We have tried to talk to her and even our team leader has talked to her but nothing has helped.

  2. I wonder if the team leader needs to call this to the attention of someone higher up who has the authority to help this lady see that she needs to stop this kind of behavior. It might be worth looking into before it hinders everyone's work performance.

You need to have someone higher than a team leader to speak with her. Possibly a supervisor or even the boss. In the meantime I would ignore this person and do my best to stay away from her drama.

Can people just refuse to talk with her or listen to her when she gets in this state, while waiting for management to deal with the problem? I ask because even if someone talks to those with more authority, it may take time to see any results.

If she persists when you all ignore her, the behavior will be noticed sooner by those in authority, which may bring quicker relief from her tirades.
