I work in a call center and my boss belittles his employees. If you do something wrong he will come to you and in front of everyone will belittle you. Calling you stupid,moron, and other choice names. He has done this to me on several occasions just for little mistakes that are easily fixable.

Hi jenbear09, I'm really sorry you are being belittled by your boss. I assume he behaves this way toward everyone else too. Maybe together you could all try and put a stop to his behavior. My fragile ego wouldn't be able to tolerate working under those conditions.

I had a boss like that too. This was her way of showing everyone how "powerful" she was. No one liked her and it took a lot for us not to laugh in her face when she started her antics. We tried to go to her boss and personal to complain about her but they always took her side. That isn't to say that no one believed us but they would never criticize a manager to ordinary workers.
She was a horrible person and I always stayed away from her. I don't like people who think they can do and say whatever they want because they think they have some kind of power over others.

I am sorry to hear that you are having these issues. Your boss sounds like he needs therapy!
I had a boss like this, years ago while working as a debt collector. She tried belittling me once and never did it again, but in the office where I worked at the time people had gotten in the habit of treating like she was joking, so she hadn't had any reason to change her behavior. It had become a game, but I wasn't willing to participate.
When she started with me I told her that apparently my being on the phone was more important than any conversations I might have off the phone. I then picked up my receiver and dialed my next number, turning my back on her at the same time.
After that, she didn't assault me, or anyone else, again. I guess I didn't giver her a reaction that she knew what to do with!
