If the interviewer seems to be hurried, should you still ask questions? In general, it turns me off when someone interviewing me seems hurried. So, usually I just get out of there.

MerdeCat: yes, always try to ask questions at the interview as it shows your interest in the company / industry.

It's good to ask many things about the company but you must also know your limitations. If you talk too much there's also a tendency that the interviewer gets irritated.

Asking questions will indicate your interest in the firm and its activities even though you should avoid asking too much questions.

If the interviewer is hurried and just wants you out - wouldn't that make you feel like they'd already made up their mind that they're not going to be interested in your application? I'd lose my confidence in this situation

Well, probably Raven. Some people just don't schedule their time well and they should not be interrupted while interviewing.

I'd still be really uncertain if that company was even taking my application seriously. I mean, what if I really wanted that job and they were just trying to push me out the door as fast as possible?
How pushy could you get in that situation if you really wanted to stay and be sure that the interviewer was even paying attention?

Keep it simple. Keep it at a simple interest so that way you don't sound as if you are just being nosey. You don't want to come off to be nosey at all.

Yes, ask the questions...it's your interview! You may want the position, but they want a qualified person and if they are hurried then do you really want to work for them? But it can also be an indicator that you aren't qualified for the job as well and they're rushing the interview or that they are busy and don't really have much time for interviewing that day...but that also might show they are unorganized and you might not want to work for a company like that as well.

If you ask questions it shows that you are interested in the job.
I would be annoyed if an interviewer seems to be rushing my interview. I expect to be shown as much respect from the company as I show them. Rushing an interview is not professional. If the interviewer is too busy to talk to you it just shows that they are unprofessional.

So if they're unprofessional, do I really want that job anyway? Won't it damage my career if I'm working in an unprofessional environment that could reflect on me?
