I'm asked to state my current salary, but I would rather not as when I took my current job I accepted a pay cut (which I deeply regret) and feel strongly that my current salary does not reflect what I really should be paid. How do I tackle this on the application forms and at interview? I don't want to mislead anyone, but I also would rather not disclose to them my salary.
